Abstract：The research on creativity measurement and development as well as pedagogical psychology is an important direction of creativity studies. Ellis Paul Torrance,an American scholar made pioneering contributions to the research on creativity in education and psychology. His measurement tools are widely recognized in the world,leading the studies on creativity development trends and educational and teaching promotion. This paper makes an overall introduction to Torrance 's significant academic achievements and their applications,reviews the other scholars' further applications and evaluations,and predicts the research on China's creativity and innovative talents in the future.
