历史上，中华大地作为全球农业文明的发源地之一，孕育了草本农业、木本农业、畜牧业、湿生农业等不同农业门类，形成了独特的农业生态体系。然而，不同门类、不同项目的农业门类各有所长，也各有所短。只有不同门类、不同项目的农耕兼容互惠、和谐并存，才能有效地取长补短，各得其所，刺激跨民族、跨文化的频繁交往交流交融，从而稳步提升各民族之间的凝聚力，为铸牢中华民族共同体意识提供物质基础与文化纽带。当今树立大农业观，正是对这一历史智慧的创造性转化和创新性发展，旨在通过大农业巩固中华民族认同的深层根系。

Throughout history, as one of the birthplaces of global agricultural civilization China has nurtured different agricultural categories such as herbaceous agriculture, woody agriculture, animal husbandry and wetland agriculture, forming a unique agricultural ecological system. However, different agricultural categories and projects have their own strengths and weaknesses. Only when different categories and projects of farming are inclusive, mutually beneficial and coexistent in harmony can they effectively complement each other expanding advantages while reducing disadvantages, and then each can be properly placed. This stimulates frequent interactions, exchanges and integrations across ethnic groups and cultures, thereby steadily and eventually totally bridging the gap between all ethnic groups. It also provides a physical foundation and a cultural bond for enhancing a sense of community for the Chinese nation. The current strategy of the “concept of comprehensive agriculture” is precisely a creative transformation and innovative development of this historical wisdom, aiming to consolidate the deep roots of the Chinese nation's identity through agricultural diversity.
